It was a blissful moment at Commissioners quarters yesterday Sunday 11/4/2021 as all inclusive leaders from nook and cranny of Orsu extraction unite and speak with one voice concerning the affairs and future of their local government following The political atmospheric change in favor of her Orsu LGA as the Attorney General/Commissioner for Justice Imo State Hon. Chief C.O.C Akaolisa (KSJI) caused a convergence of critical stakeholders of Orsu for a luncheon cum interaction for the progress and the way forward.
The meeting which was solidly composed resolved as follows;
a. The institutionalization of the Orsu leadership forum
b. Vote of confidence and appreciation to the Hon. Commissioner for Justice and Attorney General of Imo State for raising the bar of uniting Orsu leadership inrespective of political affiliation, for the development of Orsu at large.
c. Charging for unity and cohesion among leaders across political party for the support of the Governor, and the development of Orsu State Constituency.
d. Consolidation of Orsu leaders, intellectuals, partisans and non-partisan groups, for collaboration in unity of purpose.
e. It was an avenue to eschew politics of vendetta and Pull Him Down syndrome among Orsu leaders, youths, traditional rulers and the elites, at the grassroot.
Therefore, the get-together paved the way for such persons who have been keeping each others at arm's length, to embrace themselves again and bury the hatchet.
f. To strategies on ways to arrest the recent security challenges confronting Orsu Local Government Area.
In his solemn speech Attorney General of Imo State, Hon Chief C.O.C (Egbe-eji-ejeogu na Orsu) pleaded with Orsu leaders to always remain focus and resilience in all dealings and sincerely believe that after "A heavy rain storm that sun most surely surface".
He further encouraged all leaders to be their brothers keeper. He maintain that with the high level of development going on in Imo State, Orsu extraction will get the lion share soon as it commence at local government level.
Finally he used the ample time to welcome every notable leaders present and promised all that our amiable Governor Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma is very much aware that Orsu extraction are 100% in support of his government.
In one voice, people that attended this all important meeting agreed to work harmoniously for the Progress and development of Orsu.
Leaders who add their voices were thankful to God and to Attorney General of Imo State for giving them a surfeit for Progress in Orsu LGA, which they must sustain for better tomorrow.
