In his drive to ensure that the doctrine of APC reigns supreme in IMO state through aggressive and purpose driven evangelism of the party's doctrine , the Speaker of IMO state House of Assembly , Rt. Hon. Paul Emeziem together with some members of the state assembly visited members of the party at the Douglas Road Headquarters of the Municipal.
Rt. Hon. Emeziem who didn't waste time in exposing his reason for the tour , stressed that the on going APC membership Registration and Revalidation exercise is an avenue to draw more souls into the party fraternity of the All Progressives Congress . He added that the decision of the party going forward is that core registered members of the party will benefit from the Largesse available in the party .
Rt. Hon. Emeziem went further to say that a party like APC which is the ruling party both in the state and the federation has exposed indigenes of the state to benefit massively from the numerous developmental and human capacity projects going on in the country . He concluded by saying that Owerri Municipal , being the nexus of politics in IMO state that's housing both indigenes and non-indigenes , should not fail in this all important project of getting as many persons as possible registered in the party.
The APC Chairman of Owerri Municipal Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim who welcomed the Speaker and his entourage to the Municipal , Charged party faithfuls in the municipal to harken to the voice of reason from the Speaker and draw more members and residents residing in the municipal into the APC family , since all party hierarchy are Shared Prosperity Lieutenants of Dist.Sen. Hope Uzodinma . He added that the visit of the Speaker and his entourage shows that the giant Success recorded in the municipal as regards registration of new members into the party has been noticed and appreciated by the state Leadership . He asked that members of the party saddled with the responsibility of registration of new members at the ongoing membership and revalidation exercise should not rest on their oars and do more .
The Apex Leader of APC in Owerri Municipal and GM of IMO ENTRACO , Hon. MacDonald Ebere , in an ecstatic show of appreciation and gratitude , thanked the state Speaker for recognizing the giant achievements the party is making in the municipal. Hon. MacDonald went further to say that it wasn't easy collapsing other parties in the Municipal being that the Municipal is the hotbed of politics in the state . He said that as obedient Shared Prosperity Apostles in the Municipal , the party embarked on massive and vision driven ward tours covering the nooks and corners of the municipal . Hon. MacDonald said such moves gave birth to the collapse of other political parties and structures in the Municipal.
Hon. MacDonald went further to tell the state party Leadership that Owerri Municipal is 100% APC and that the ongoing party registration and revalidation exercise has given the party added opportunity to rid the municipal of all seeds of opposition that may want to germinate .
The Entraco boss concluded by telling the Speaker and the visitors he's with , that the municipal runs an open door operation and so is ready to welcome the state Speaker anytime he comes calling ..
The Owerri Zonal Apex Leader of APC , Prince . Lemmy Akakem (Okpataozuoha) who was part of the Speaker's entourage , expressed happiness as to the significant achievement made by party Leadership in the Municipal . He added that the duo of Hon. Sir . MacDonald Ebere and Hon. Onyekachi Ibezim has done a lot giving the APC a pride of Place in the Municipal . Prince. Lemmy promised to relay the exceptional successes of the party municipal Leadership to the state executives of the party .
The Speaker and his entourage was well received by Apex Leadership , Executives and members of the Party , Party Structure executives , top Government functionaries from the Municipal , not excluding party sympathizers .
