The Rapid Response Register ( RRR) is designed as an intervention to cushion the economic shocks of the covid19 pandemic on urban poor Nigerians currently not benefitting from the Federal Government's Cash Transfer Program.
Todays flag off led by the Imo State Commissioner for Budget, Economic Planning and Statistics Dr. C.C Osuala and the Special Adviser on Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) and Humanitarian Services, Princess Christina Ude was meant to encourage all potential beneficiaries to register to take part in the program.
Speaking at the event, Dr. C.C Osuala informed the gathering that the RRR " program came about as a welfare program to ameliorate our pains especially those whose businesses got affected by the pandemic. It is designed in such a way that registered downtrodden and affected members of the public are given stipends by the Federal Government and the World Bank for a period of 24 Months", Osuala stated.
Continuing, Dr. Osuala stated, "we have so many programs of this nature going on in our dear state... None of you should be scared to register for this event. Even when we find out that you're not fit for any particular program you registered, we will move you to another program that fits you appropriately"
On her part, Princess Christina Ude thanked His Excellency, Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma for bringing down this program to the Local Governments in Imo State at a time like this.
