Following the weeks extension duly signed and approved by the National Working Committee of the ruling All Progressive Congress APC for members and defectors to revalidate and register their membership of the Party in the 774 Local Government Areas in Nigeria.
The Ikeduru Local Government Area Council Chairman Honorable Chief Tony Jude Iwuamadi has tasked the members of the party to sue for the unity, peace and progress of APC which is Paramount and SACROSANCT.
While speaking to a non governmental organization that unites Mbaitoli LGA and Ikeduru LGA known as MBAIKE Union said the peace that has existed between the two LGAs must be sustained crone to the fact they are of the same Federal Constituency.
Iwuamadi maintained that the proposed new yam festival will help Project, Propagate and Protect (PPP) the MBAIKE Union so that we can speak in unionism.
Honorable Iwuamadi made this assertion during a Unity Rally held in the Owerri residence of APC Owerri Zonal leader, Prince Charls Amadi Chalvon, while thanking the leaders from MBAIKE reminded them to pray for the Governor His Excellency Distinguish Senator Hope Odidika Uzodimma whom he described as best that has yielded fruits of progress and development with durable infrastructure going on all over the State.
In his speech the National President General of MBAIKE Union and Leader of the party from Owerri Zone Prince Charles Amadi said he is overwhelmed by the turn out of the MBAIKE Union members which shows that the Union is progressing, he added that the proposed MBAIKE New Yam festival first of it's kind will further strengthen the political climate of the two LGAs.
However another leader and National Vice President of MBAIKE Union, Honorable Barrister Kingsley Onunuju, Commissioner for Special Project who spoke during the event said he's delighted that the message of peaceful coexistence for MBAIKE is SACROSANCT which can never be divisible, he used the opportunity and adopted Mr Chinemerem as a son of MBAIKE, Mr.Chinemerem is the CEO of Chinemerem and Brothers Oil And Gas.
Meanwhile a traditional ruler His Royal Highness Eze SaintGorge Eke gave assurance that the various communities in MBAIKE will key into the MBAIKE Union project and as regards to the New Yam Festival will promote communal relationship between the two LGAs while he cautioned the party to be mindful of viruses who may defect into the party to destablize the already existing peace in the area and called for a purposeful leadership and representative both in the state and national assemblies.
However a youth mobilizer and the President General of Amaimo Ancient Kingdom, Honorable Prince Emma Alaribe in his remark reminded the leadership of MBAIKE Union that on no account should they neglect the masses because they're at the grassroots without their presence the Union will not be effective, he added that he joined the party is to make it more grassroot project and not otherwise.
Dignitaries who graced the event includes, Honorable Obinna Nwaloka SA to the Governor, Honorable Chief Anyaehie Okamueme, Honorable Chief Leonard, Honorable Obinna Nshirim ex-Ikeduru LGA Chairmen, 12 INEC Wards Councilors from Ikeduru LGA and IMC Members, Honorable Chinedu Njoku(confirm) President Generals from various Autonomous Communities in Ikeduru LGA, women leaders from various groups in MBAIKE, Youths Organization and members of Integrity Group Initiative, among others.
