It is a noted fact that education has remained one of the bedrocks in our society, however, this and many other factors have enabled Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha, Member representing the good people of Okigwe North Federal Constituency, which comparises Okigwe, Isiala Mbano and Onuimo LGAs to partner Universal Basic Education Commission, to providing qualitative education.
She has mapped out the best strategies for the visiting of primary schools within her constituency, and to ensure equitable distribution of education materials.
The lawmaker was at Amaraku central school and Okwelle central school respectively to flag off the programme, and was personally involved in the distribution of seats & desks, instructional materials and other educational equipments. The Headmaster, Mr. Amaraegbu Edwin, other teachers and pupils in the school were filled with great joy and happiness for the love and kindness shown by the Amazon of our time, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha.
In a reaction, Headteachers and other teachers of Amaraku and Okwelle central schools described such gesture as the first time a Federal house member had visited with, which they expressed their joy and equally promised to ensure judicious use of the mobile packaged Science and Arts equipments/kits that were donated by the Federal House Member, Hon. Princess Miriam Onuoha.
Among those who witnessed the exercise, were the traditional rulers of the two Communities, a representative of IMSUBEB governing board, Hon. Bright Nwachukwu, Education Secretaries, PTA Chairmen, Women leaders and youth leaders.
