Having worked tirelessly for a number of Months, Imo State House of Assembly have adjourned the House till 25th Oct, 2022.
The long adjournment was announced by the Speaker, Imo State House of Assembly, IMHA, Rt Hon Barr Kennedy Chidozie Ibeh during Plenary on Thursday.
Before the adjournment, the Speaker eulogized the Governor, His Excellency Senator Hope Uzodimma, for maintaining a synergy between the legislature and the Executive.
He commended the governor for utilizing scarce resource available to Imo State for great achievements. The Speaker praised the Clerk, Members and Staff of Imo State House of Assembly for being dedicated and committed to their duties.
He noted that the Deputy Speaker, the Presiding Officers of the House, and indeed all the Honourable Members, have displayed high sense of support and Legislative Dexterity and Responsibility.
In a motion on adjournment, Honourable members, such as the Deputy Speaker, Rt. Hon Amara Iwuanyanwu, Hon Eddy Obnna of Aboh Mbaise-, the Majority Leader, Hon. Kanayo Onyemaechi, Hon Dominic Ezerioha of Oru West, Rt Hon Ngozi Obiefule of Isu State Constituency, described the Speaker as exceptional and a driver of the House with a licence.
The members who spoke individually, said that the Speaker Rt. Hon. Kennedy Ibeh, has changed the narratives of IMHA by bringing on board legislative experience from which all the House members have benefitted from.
