The apex leader of APC in Owerri zone made the declaration during the visit of APC women leaders in Owerri North LGA to his Orji country-home.

In her opening speech, Mrs Gladys Egemonu, APC Owerri North woman leader said, their planned courtesy visit to leaders of the party has to commence with the visit to Prince Lemmy Akakem because according to her, "there is no other person known to us as the apex leader of the party but you".

The women of Owerri North expressed happiness that Prince Lemmy Akakem, the father of APC has restored peace and unity in Owerri north and other parts of Owerri zone. Egemonu also pleaded with Prince Lemmy Akakem and other leaders in Owerri north to carry along the women in their plans, programs and strategy because according to her, women are essential part of any election.

In his response, Prince Lemmy Akakem said he has always embraced people to join the party especially those who will add value, and because  election is a game of number. The zonal leader further said it's on record that he rolled out the red carpet for his younger brothers to join APC. He also said it's his firm belief that APC is big enough to accommodate everybody's aspiration. Also speaking, the zonal apex leader said "It's a sacred duty to deliver all our candidates and Prince Alex Mbata is a  candidate that must be delivered."

Prince Lemmy Akakem assured APC women of Owerri North that they will not be left out as orphans, because he is also their father. He promised to pass on their request for inclusion to other leaders of the party.

The zonal apex leader in his usual act of benevolence, supported the women leaders with a cash gift of #200,000.

Chief Mrs Julie Egbo, a notable APC and Ohaneze woman leader in Owerri north moved the vote of thanks.
