All Progressives Congress Women Across the 36 States plus FCT have been hailed for a successful month of August by the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu
In a new month message by her Special Adviser on political matters Ṣeun Osamaye, she appreciated party women across the country for their untiring efforts at effective mobilisation towards the emergence of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu as the president of the country come 2023 and the success recorded so far.
She described the achievements of the last month as exceptional, enjoined them to gird their loins and continue with the trend of massive mobilisation of women across board for the success of the APC and the presidential flag bearer at the polls in 2023.
A recap of activities of the APC National Women Leader, Dr Betta Edu ably supported by the deputy National Women Leader, Hon Zainab Ibrahim was released through the office of the Special Adviser on political matters.
These activities for the month of August are
1. A One-day Interactive female strategic engagement with APC women stakeholders. To bring all women together to work towards the victory of Sen Bola Tinubu
2. Registration of ALL APC Women Support Groups and a planned retreat for Coalition of ALL APC Women Support Groups towards 2023 Presidential Election.
3. Received in her office on Courtesy visits over thirty different supports groups mostly women and youths where she commissioned and charged them to commence full mobilization at the grassroots.
4. Empowerment of women through Conditional Cash Transfer for 36,000 Cross River State Women through the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs and disaster management.
5. Child Education empowerment through payment of School fees for every child in Adadama Ward in Abi LGA of Cross River State
6. Bagged several Meritorious Awards of Excellence among which are African Youths Role Model, PWDs humanitarian award of excellence to mention a few
7. Hospital Visitation / Medical Outreach tagged 'Rescue Mission for the less Priviledged' at the National Hospital, Abuja. paid medical bills of less privileged indigent patients.
8. Flagged Off The APC National Women 's wing March Against Electoral Violence with setting up of committee for South East Zone.
9. Donation of 1,000,000 Naira cash for Empowerment of APC Women living with disabilities
10. Provides mentorship at a One-day Leadership training on Grassroot Sensitization / Mobilization of Progressive Young Women Forum
11. Mobilized and sponsored over 50 APC Women party leaders , serving and former women leaders, and stakeholders to attend the burial ceremony of the immediate past South West Zonal Women Leader, late Chief Mrs Kemi Nelson in Lagos.
12.The APC National Women Leader Represented Governor Ben Ayade as FG awards Cross River state as best Performing state in Health Sector & vaccination 2021 - 2022 when she was the Commissioner For Health Cross River State.
The National Women Leader while appreciating the efforts of the APC women further enjoins them, women leaders and stakeholders, strategic partners, APC Women Support Groups and all other APC women to increase their grassroots sensitization and mobilization of Electorates in this month as INEC will officially allow campaigns to begin.
