Congratulations to Governor Hope Uzodimma as he navigates the former Eastern Region to National Politics and reckoning. It takes a wise and visionary leader to see far ahead of others. Yes, it is only a team player like Senator Hope Uzodimma that could pull fellow Governors and heavyweight politicians from the old Eastern Region comprising South South and Southeast to the ruling APC. My late father said that to be a successful man in whatever profession or trade you have chosen for yourself,you should secure tutelage or apprenticeship under someone already successful. Through associating with the right people, you excel bearing in mind that both poverty and riches are infectious. Success and failure equally possess magnetic influences.There is no doubt that our beloved brother and Governor Hope Uzodimma is a man of tremendous goodwill and magnanimity. His carriage and swag seem to appeal to most reasonable people who appreciate relationship. Unlike those who are scared of seeing highly qualified or successful people due to inferiority complex and fear of healthy competition, Uzodimma cultivates and mingles with the best materials around. Those we had in Imo APC before Governor Hope preferred touts and urchins but Onwa goes for both low and sophisticated people. He allows the low class to come around to be helped but not to place them where they don't deserve. He doesn't believe in mediocrity or playing to the gallery. It was in the past that we saw touts as top government functionaries and we all witnessed the sordid aftermath of that misadventure by the man from Ogboko. The man from Ogboko brought APC to Southeast but decided to make it family business which hindered a whole ruling party from making any tangible progress or converting big men in the region. Through out the period, there were no federal presence either in Imo state or Southeast and not to talk of south south. The reason was unbridled arrogance, greed and personality crisis cum acute paranoid of the APC facilitator then who prefers to be the only cock that crows. Today, a highly cultured and sound leader of Uzodimma's mould is making in road and breaking new frontiers to entrench the ruling party. The party is now attractive because of his style of leadership and more big men are moving into the party. Uzodimma holds the ace in the old Eastern region made up of Southeast and Southsouth. The practical and concrete evidence of his breakthroughs are conversion of two ranking Governors, David Umahi of Ebonyi from South east bloc and right from today a brand new converted Governor Ayade of Cross River State from South South.
APC is gaining ground and it can only happen when a magnanimous leader like Hope is in charge! More big men are coming and that is the only way out for us to accomplish the crusade of a Nigerian President of southeast extraction!
