In 1993, United Nations General assembly in a resolution agreed that May 15th of every year should be observed as the International Day of families. This year 2021's Theme: FAMILIES AND NEW TECHNOLOGIES focuses on the impacts of new technologies on the well being of families especially to the context of the technologies that helped families handle the pandemic CoVid 19.
Here in Imo State, Her Excellency, Barr Mrs Chioma Uzodimma through the Ministry of women affairs and vulnerable group, has done tremendously well. It should be on record that the Ministry of Women affairs and vulnerable group has handled and resolved a lot of family obstacles, conflicts, issues and challenges on daily basis, through the women Affairs and welfare department. The present Administration of the shared prosperity Goverment under His Excellency, Dist. Senator Hope Uzodimma is poised to ensure the stability and welfare of every family in the state.
This day provides an opportunity to resolve all family issues, no matter what it may be. The family is the basic and most important institution in the society. It is the place where we recieve our first education and where values and other traits are learned. It is therefore, our responsibility to develop the right attitude towards our families because a family in harmony will prosper, and good and loving families breed great societies.
Today, share the day with your family and loved ones. Remember family is more than blood. Those people that stand by you without fliching, in good and bad times, are also your family.
Happy international family day from my family to yours. ❤️❤️
