Till today, this precious saying holds true any day: "if one continues to swim in small pool, he stands the risk of being submerged in bigger waters".
Unfortunately and implicitly, this particular wise saying bequeathed to mankind is one of the unusual challenges facing the Light of the Nation - Anambra State.
Till today, the unsavory question on the lips of many is: for how long will the State play the politics that shuts it out from the national grid; hence sentencing it to perpetual half current or no current at all?
For how long will the State consign itself to perpetual opposition politics, playing in the periphery?
For such an illustrious and enterprising people, this is unfortunate, if not tragic.
Indeed, the time is apt for the State to jettison poor politics and return to the mainstream.
It is time to stop operating in the periphery. Time to leave the shadow for light.
Anambra State is in dire search of a man who can make the difference, who can lead the State to the mainstream of the nation's politics.
A man who can live to the tenets and teachings as espoused by Ndigbo's foremost leader, Dim Chukwuemaka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the Ike Mba of Nnewi who upon his arrival from exile in the early 80's refused vehemently to join a regional party, but opted for a national one.
Chief Dr. George Moghalu (the Ohamadike of Nnewi) is the man who has what it takes in overdose to lead the State to her rightful place in Nigeria.
For Chief Dr. Moghalu, connecting Anambra State to the centre of Nigerian power equation is very imperative as it is relevant, and thereby making the region have the chance to elect a Nigerian President of Igbo extraction - a possible feat. With Chief Dr. Moghalu, Anambra will join her peers in the national politics so as to reinvigorate the oil and gas sector of the State's economy which have remained untapped as the current APGA led administration of the State have cited being handicapped due to belonging to an opposition party.
Chief Dr. Moghalu is tested and trusted. A man who can be trusted with power and will not misuse it. Very accountable, caring, and unobstructive. A heart for the poor and downtrodden. In him, we see humility. A realization of ephemeralness of power and of life itself.
With Chief Dr. George Moghalu, the Ohamadike of Nnewi, a new dawn, new visitation is coming our way.
"Anambra ga-adikwa mma ozo".
It shall be well with Anambra State. Amen!
