DISTINGUISHED SENATOR ANDY UBA (MFR): THE MAN WHO SPONSORED THE NEW NIGERIA POSTAL COMMISSION BILL 2016

The Nigeria Postal Service has been in existence for over six decades with little or no significant impacts on the lives of the citizenry.

The services of the agency were in comatose until the coming on board of Distinguished Senator Andy Uba (MFR), in the 7th National Assembly.

While in the red chambers, as a man who understands the plights of his people and the need to upgrade our postal services to a world standard in this 21st century, Senator Andy Uba (MFR), took it upon himself to sponsor a life giving bill that resurrected the postal service to a commission.

The New Nigeria Postal Service Bill repealed The Nigeria Postal Service Act CAP N127, LFN 2004.

Since 1961, that Nigeria registered herself into United Postal Union (UPU), it has not lived to expectations.

Not until the coming of this new bill, Nigeria was far placed in 102nd postion out of the 192 member countries.

The New Nigeria Postal Commission Bill seeks amongst other things to liberalize delivery and haulage industry by seperating the powers of licensing and commercialization of postal services within the postal service industry.

It also seeks to promote fair competition and discourage monopoly in the postal service by ensuring compliance in all competition laws and regulations.

This will ensure and promote a balanced, efficient and effective Nigeria Postal Service as public service operator.

The New Nigeria Postal Commission Bill also seeks to provide a modern, universal, efficient and easily accessible postal services with the widest range and coverage throughout Nigeria.

This would would ensure efficient management including coordination, allocation, assignment, regulation, monitoring and the use of national resources in the postal sub sector to encourage local and foreign investments.

Ndi-Anambra, we can attest to the fact that Senator Andy Uba (MFR), is a national asset.

With this bill, we already know that Nigeria Postal Service is 100% revived as thousands of jobs are being created and Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) turning up in millions of dollars  from deliveries yearly, thereby contributing to the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of our dear nation.

The evergreen Nigeria post offices are springing up again and since it is the best and cheapest means of sending parcels across the world.

NIPOST has gone digital through this bill sponsored by our own, this has made it contemporary and she is edging out DHL in delivery and haulage industry.

Ndi-Anambra are business inclined people and this New Nigeria Postal Commission Bill has helped us in our day to day businesses in delivery of our parcels and haulage, thereby reducing time wastage, creating ease of doing transactions and paving ways for more opportunities at the lowest cost.

With this bill, Ndi-Anambra should know that Senator Andy Uba (MFR), is innovative and will replicate such antecedents when elected by November 6th, 2021 in all our failed industries, corporations and parastatals.

Support Andy Uba for reinventions and revival of our ailing industries in Anambra.
