The wife of the Anambra State All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Mrs Gloria Oby Uba today met with Anambra women at Uga, Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The meeting which was attended by all Anambra women from all spheres of life turned out to be the mother of rallies for women in recent time in Anambra State.
The wife of the incoming Governor, Chief Mrs. Gloria Uba while thanking Anambra women for coming out en-masse to honour her invitation, promised that their support towards her husband's ambition would never be in vain.
She said, her husband is in the race to re-write the ugly narratives and anti-governance being dished out by APGA to Ndi-Anambra for almost two decades in the state.
She added that if her husband gets elected and sworn in, that her office will run the best and most transparent First Lady's office in the country.
Mrs. Uba admonished women to come out on Saturday to vote and defend their votes for APC, as the party is ready to connect Anambra to the center for better dividends of democracy.
She said her pet projects as First Lady of Anambra State in Agu-Awka will include working with the State House of Assembly to enact laws for free medical care for children between the age of zero to five.
She also said the medicare will include giving pregnant women free delivery avenue for them to deliver their babies without paying a dime.
Chief Mrs. Gloria Uba, also promised 40% affirmative action for women as she's going to make sure her husband appoints more women in his administration for the growth of the state.
She said her pet projects will also cover empowerment of atleast 50000 women yearly with grants and loans to support their businesses.
Dignitaries that attended the rally includes, Anambra State APC women Leader, Director of Women Affairs of Senator Andy Uba Campaign Council, Hon. Callista Nwachukwu, Lady Ngọzi Ebosie and other dignitaries.
Highlights of the event is the endorsement of Distinguished Senator Andy Uba by the women of Anambra State.
Solidarity songs came from different women groups who pledged to take the message of voting Senator Andy Uba on Saturday to their homes and promised to deliver Senator Andy Uba in all the polling booths of Anambra State.
