What is happening today in Mbaitoli Ikeduru Federal Constituency is not in our character.
Ours was a decent constituency, a disciplined one, where the political leaders in spite of their political differences respected one another and cooperated with one another in order to move our constituency forward.
I remember attending meetings then at the instance of one elder statesman, our rallying point in Mbaike, cohesion, brotherly agreement, order and equity was there.
Today, it is not so. Even in the political arrangements, in the past, members of political class respected one another, respected our sharing formula, the juniors obeyed and respected their seniors and constituted authority.
Ostensibly, you might not be a member of the ruling party, still you will respect the authority, you might disagree with the sharing arrangement policy, but the respect was there, even though you çan express your opposition to the policy.
Then, there was no heated polity, hate speech, Mbaike was sharing there thing turn by turn without rancour until greed was elected.
Morally, in Mbaike we were sound; this permissiveness now prevalent in-between us was not like then.
Why can't equity reign.
And that is why, I described the situation in which we are today in a bad light.
The institution of the Federal Constituency has broken down, respect for elders and constituted authority, which used to be our cardinal principle is now at its lowest ebb.
Honestly, why it does not pay has become meaningless.
Yet in all DEAREST Sincerity, MBAIKE roots for an Ikeduru son to represent her and the search for a credible hands falls on Hon. Engr. Akarachi Amadi who by providence is a vibrant Youth with great character and dexterity.
Mbaike has A Dream and that dream has not been realized
However, let me make it quite clear, although I have painted the picture black, I still remain optimistic. This is because everything that has a beginning has an end. Only God has no beginning and no end.
From this new month I believe we would overcome, more especially when I look at Hon Engr Akarachi Amadi in the now and the crises we had in the past, his emergence to become, surely, the people's overcome even in this new month of September.
