In continuation of his engagements with relevant stakeholders of the party, in furtherance of his gubernatorial aspiration, the Managing Director of the National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA) and a frontline gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the November 6, Anambra state gubernatorial election, Chief, Dr.George Moghalu received in audience members of the Anambra State APC Media Frontiers at his Campaign Office, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.
The interactive session which lasted for almost two hours, was characterized by an engaging discussion on various topical issues of importance as it relates to the forthcoming gubernatorial poll.
Dr. Moghalu informed the Frontiers of his gubernatorial aspiration and urged them to remain resolute and firm as there's light at the end of the tunnel.
The NIWA top boss who feted with the gentlemen and ladies of the media thanked them for the good job that they are doing at ensuring that the image of the party was projected positively.
He expressed his commitment to the Frontiers and that they should count on him as an aspirant who have the needed consensus of the political elites across party lines in the state. He also reeled out his experiences in public and private sectors before the frontiers
Earlier, while taking questions from the image-makers who are mostly younger and enthusiastic members of the party, Chief, Dr. George Moghalu stated his intention to building the Anambra State of our dream, saying that securing the futures of the youths' was the legacy he desires to leave behind.
“The essence of this meeting is to thank you all for your good works. I have noted with happiness and great pleasure the sacrifices being made to highlight the party’s good image. My mission of 'Anambra ga-adikwa mma ozo' loosely translated to mean that 'Anambra will be great again' will ensure rapid, even and sustainable development across the state. Anambra is a state with enormous human capital resources. However, it is very sad that these potentials are currently being underutilized today" he stated
Continuing he added "My intention is to bring sanity, transparency and accountability to the management of the large amount of resources in our state”. He concluded
Reacting, the APC Anambra Media Frontiers led by Hon. Ikemba Nimo thanked the host, Chief, Dr. George Nnadubem Moghalu for his humanitarian efforts and kind-heartedness aptly espoused through his Zimuzo Foundation; one of the philanthropic organization he funds, to help the less privileged. He further extolled the NIWA boss' deft footwork at ensuring that the Onitsha Inland Port became a reality after 42 years, describing it as a landmark achievement which will open the economy of Anambra State and the South Eastern region in general.
The image makers wished him good speed in his mission, adding that he should count them as “partners in progress” in his goal of improving the lives of Ndi-Anambra.
