ADDRESS PRESENTED BY ALEX MBATA TO GOVERNOR HOPE UZODIMMA ON THE OCCASION OF THE COMMISSIONING OF A THREE KILOMETRE ROAD BUILT BY MBATA.

"I am not here to flatter you. I am saying what I know. You have done well. I know that politics to some people is all about trying to put down the other to see if they can rise. That is not the case with me.

"I decided to spend this money to give you my loyal support - to tell you that I am with you, and by the grace of God, I will do more for you.

"All Imo people here present...All the people of Owerri zone here, you have the best Governor of the state in the person of Governor Uzodimma. His heart is good, his smile is good. It is unfortunate that some people may not understand what it takes to be a governor, but I know that God will help you and you will do well. God will empower you to right the wrongs.

"Your Excellency, this is the road. I said it here on the 22nd of April....I said, if it is possible, I would have named this road Grace and Mercy. Because it is by grace.... It is by mercy that this has happened.
