The declination of Senator Andy Uba As Governorship Candidate of the APC in Anambra November 6th Governorship Polls will help the Party in the forthcoming Governorship Polls. It should be recalled that one of the Governorship Aspirants, Maxwell Okoye has approached the court to stop Senator Andy Uba from contesting the Governorship Polls, slated to hold in November 6, this year.
The APC Governorship Aspirant Prayed the court to restrain Senator Andy Uba from parading himself as the Governorship Candidate of the Party and the Court should recognize him as the Authentic Governorship Candidate of the Party. Maxwell Okoye challenged the victory of Senator Andy Uba, saying APC Primary election that produced him as the candidate of the Party was not free and fair. Meanwhile, the court has declined the suit to stop Uba as Governorship Candidate of the Party.
However, Senator Uba's victory at the Court will help the Party in the forthcoming Polls. Though, the verdict of the court on the emergence of Senator Andy Uba as Governorship candidate of the Party may not satisfy other Governorship Aspirants but it will boost the chances of APC to win the forthcoming Polls in the state. Meanwhile, The Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Grand Alliance APGA, Charles Soludo who is one of the leading Governorship Candidate may not contest due to the allegation levied against him over the abuse of office, when he was the CBN Governor.
Senator Andy Uba's victory will give the APC huge edge over other Political Parties in the state. The Victory of Uba as Governorship Candidate of APC is a victory for the Party because if Uba is being disqualified as Governorship Candidate of the Party, the Party may not be able to meet up with the INEC's deadline. The APC may not have the Privilege to participate in the November 6th Governorship Polls, if the APC Governorship Candidate is being disqualified.
The APC Governorship Aspirants should trend softly and work together with the APC Governorship Candidate, Senator Andy Uba in the forthcoming Governorship Election. The APC Governorship Aspirants should work for the success of the Party in the forthcoming Governorship Polls. The November 6th Governorship Polls may be an easy ride for the APC with the court's verdict on Senator Andy Uba.
