The All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate in the forthcoming Anambra State election, Distinguished Senator Andy Uba (MFR), has vowed to grant Local Governments in Anambra State her full autonomy with all privileges due to them.
It is on record that Local Governments in Anambra State have not had elected Chairmen for almost two decades.
This illegal and wicked arrangement is a brain child of Peter Obi, colluded and handed down to Willy Obiano.
Obiano in his self-centeredness, handpicked his right men who are just figure heads as Transition Chairmen.
These Transition Chairmen are used as conduit pipes to siphon Local Government allocations.
Senator Andy Uba has come to re-write the wrongs of the past and present administration.
He has vowed to conduct free, fair and credible Local Government election once elected and sworn in by March 2022.
Senator Andy Uba is a man of integrity and accountability.
He will make sure that all the Local Government funds accrued to the third tier of government in Anambra State, will be judiciously used.
Local Government staff will be paid on time with good working conditions.
Also, ward councillors would be given free hands to man their wards, leadership would be decentralized to the grassroots.
The era of councillors constructing culverts and mini bridges would be revived back, because funds are at their disposals to execute projects.
Senator Andy Uba has promised to give free hand to the Local Government Councils if elected by November 6th, 2021.
There would be massive projects and construction works in the 21 LGA's and 327 political wards of Anambra State with Senator Andy Uba at the helms of Affairs in Agu-Awka.
Rural roads, farm roads, bridges, Primary Health Care Centers (PHC), modelled markets, schools and power grids would be constructed by the government of Andy Uba in conjunction with Local Government Authorities.
They shall be accountability in the Local Government system.
A suitation where the Governor would sieze Local Government allocations amounting to billions of naira would not be tolerated as integrity and probity would be the watchword of his administration.
Ndi-Anambra rejoice, the Local Government system is coming back to life with Senator Andy Uba.
