WHY ASIWAJU BOLA TINUBU HAS TO SUPPORT SENATOR UMARU TANKO AL-MAKURA

Kudos to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu for this great demonstration of the leadership of the fractious factions in APC in Kwara State. He has paid his political dues. His contribution to the development and evolution of the present democratic experience in the country is tremendous and, indeed, cannot be quantified.

I know the significant role Asiwaju Tinubu played in the merger of the defunct ACN, ANPP, CPC, and factions of APGA and DPP in 2013 because I was involved in the merger negotiation as one of the co -secretaries of the Joint Inter-Party Meger Committee.

Without Asiwaju Tinubu 's partnership and cooperation with PMB, maybe today we would not have APC in power. He also fought resolutely and doggedly against the military dictatorship that seized political power in the 1990s in the country. President Muhammadu Buhari and Aswaju Tinubu will be recorded by history among the democratic pantheons of Nigeria.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu is a political seer and visionary. When the party that sponsored him for the 1998 Lagos State governorship election -Alliance for Democracy was overrun and compromised by Pro Obasanjo forces, he formed the Action Congress, AC which later metamorphosed into the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.

Asiwaju is undeniably is a political generalissimo in this country from whatever prism and perspective you look at it. He planned, coordinated, and led the onslaught against PDP manipulated electoral tsunami in the Southwest in 2007 (which saw it winning four governorship seats) but upturned in the Election Tribunals.

Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has to support Senator Umaru Tanko Al-Makura to become National Chairman of APC. The support of Asiwaju Bola Tinubu of the aspiration of Senator Umaru Tanko A-Makura is the to go. The two can easily return APC to the dreams of its founding fathers. They are awesome progressives and Nigerian nationalists.
