"Time has gone when government will release compensatory plots to one man or group of persons~Noble Atulegwu"
The Imo State Commissioner for Lands Survey and Physical Planning, Hon. Noble Atulegwu has assured Imo people that the Ministry of Lands will ensure that all compensatory plots from government acquired lands are released to the original owners of the land.
Hon. Atulegwu made this known when he received in audience the executive members of the committee on lands from Umuakali-Elu, Naze in Owerri North local government area who called on him.
Hon. Atulegwu stressed that time has gone when government will release compensatory plots to one man or group of persons from a community who will in turn make it their own personal properties to the detriment of the original land owners.
He cautioned individuals who sell government acquired lands to desist, as government will deal with such persons in accordance with the recommendations of the white-paper on lands and land related matters.
Meanwhile, the Commissioner for Lands Survey and Physical Planning, Noble Atulegwu has directed the Directors of Lands and that of Town Planning in his ministry to invite all the original land owners in the areas known and called "Central Market" to meet with him to further realize their 40% compensatory plots.
The Commissioner charged the people to remain law abiding and be patient with government and not to frustrate the developmental efforts of government.
Hon. Atulegwu also played host to the people of Umuohiadagu Community Development Union in Owerri West local government area who called on him.
He assured them that the Governor Hope Uzodimma led administration has not come to cut corners or to steal the peoples land, but will true to her oath of office.
