MBAIKE UNION: THE TRAIN HAS MOVED

"If you can't pull a great idea off, don't pull it down"

Bring down syndrome has turned out the bane of socio-political engagement in this part of the country. Unfortunate and telling as this ugly trend remains the primers and merchants, care less about the impacts.

Social mobilization and political education are critical components of awareness creation. People that think and are conscious of issues and development in their environment, know the right time to make that wake up call that position them as critical stakeholders in the affairs of the state.

It's true that human nature is defined by two sets of people- the passive and active participants. Those that make things happen and change the narratives that grows the society, leading to the active segments.

They think and provide wings for their ideas to fly. They walk the talk, take the necessary steps to create platforms for civilised discussion to thrive.

Such individuals simply don't get distracted by the antics of band throwers that do nothing but criticize every and any idea simply because they are not the initiators. Even when they thinker with any idea seldom do they anyway, lack of patience, ideas, creative messages that resonates and the logistical support which are material in driving social and political engineering imperil their projections.

Some Ikeduru and Mbaitoli sons and their obviously paid hirelings have literally gone to town, distorting facts, blackmailing and feeding the unwary on diet of lies about what informed the setting up of Mbaike Union. Criticism is a veritable tool for evaluation of programs, actions, facts  and intents, provided such is constructive, based on clear understanding of the issues and armed with the right information.

Flight of fancies, grandstanding and impolitic joining of issues, the subject matter of which one knows little or nothing about, exposes a disturbing and irritating lack of facts and fraction. MBAIKE UNION was founded on Noble ideals and the membership thrown open to all sons and daughters of Mbaitoli and Ikeduru  Local Governments, irrespective of political leanings, social orientation or economic background.

The union strongly advocate strong bonds between the people of the two Local Government and the need for us to be speaking with one voice based on shared ideals, mutual respect, economic development and social integration.

A great mumber of our people are detached and insular and need to be fully mobilized and sensitized to participate and show more interest in governance, security, economic development, social re-orientation and promoting commonality of purpose.

The Union strongly believe that we must provide a strong support base for the incumbent Governor Sen. Hope Uzodinma, leveraging our numerical strength - as politics which gives rise to dividends under good governance is a game of numbers. With this support assured and guaranteed, we can attract projects and be very visible ; in competitive terms.

Mobilization and sensitization are not done just through the media alone. Personal interface which provides opportunity for cross pollination of ideas, informed the visits to interact with critical stakeholders.

The good news is that the buy-in has been huge, encouraging and eye opening. We would sustain the tempo having realized that it is an idea whose time has come and the people are enthusiastic to join the train.

That the union could pull such a magical feats on bi partisan basis, explains the unspoken hunger in the belly of a great number of our people that time has come for MBAIKE to step up and deploy their number clinically to secure deserved recognition.

A word for critics, there are no Laurel to be shared. If they feel persuaded that unity between the two brother local government should be promoted and sustained for a greater good, they should join the train and be part of the vanguard to politically, economically and socially integrate our people.

We can do better than deploying resources to infringe the integrity of one another based on self interest and wrong information and set of facts which could have been effortlessly secured without bursting biles.

In this project, no one is an overlord and non either is held in servitude. MBAIKE UNION is not a personal enterprise or structure of any one but the leadership are defined. We are talking to ourselves and the message is resonating with the people. To the Glory of God, the train has moved and the destination would redefine things and usher in the birth of a nascent MBAIKE founded on the principles of IGWEBUIKE.  We must remain resolute and committed in this generational call.
