The Old Motorized Borehole of Nempi Water Scheme, located at Orie Nempi Market Square, by Omuma Junction, that hitherto supplied portable water to Nempi, Aji, Eleh, Ibiasoegbe and neighbouring Communities has been galvanized, reactivated and rehabilitated with Modern Facilities powered by Solar Energy as well as commissioned by Imo-State Shared Prosperity Government.
Hon. Barr. Ralph Nwosu, the Hon. Commissioner, Ministry of Works, Owerri, stood in, for His Excellency, Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma (Onwa Imo) and performed the Commissioning Ceremony of the Brand New Nempi Solar Water Scheme, Thursday, 20th May, 2021, at the site of Orie Nempi Market Square, amidst unlimited jubilations and funfares, among the Indigines and residents of Nempi Autonomous Communities.
Speaking to the mammoth Galaxy of Crowds that graced the Commissioning, Barr. Ralph Nwosu revealed that he has an affectionate interest in Nempi Water Scheme from time immemorial.
He stated how he availed assistance to the Nempi Water Project, while he held sway then, as the Commissioner, Ministry of Public Utilities, Owerri, even as he then appointed Chief Willie Okolieogwo to be Chairman of the same Water Scheme.
He showered unlimited encomiums on the Dexterity, Industry, Proactiveness and the victorious burning Spirit Leadership of Chief Willie
T.C Okolieogwo in personally ensuring the successful execution of the Water Scheme in Nempi, as against what happened in the other 26 LGAs of the State in 2009.
Commissioner Ralph Nwosu expressed delight that today Chief Willie Okolieogwo is the incumbent IMC Chairman of Oru-West LGA, under whose meticulous watchful eyes and superintendence, Former Nempi Motorized Water Scheme has metamorphosed today and being Commissioned by Imo-State Government as Modern Nempi Solar Water Scheme, to the Glory of God and the joy of the People of Nempi Communities both at home and in the Diaspora.
Barr. Ralph Nwosu eulogized the humanitarian and extreme Milk of Human Kindness of Governor Hope Uzodinma, who Graciously, availed the finance for the completion, accomplishment and now the Commissioning of Nempi Solar Water Scheme for the portable Water to Nempi Communities and its environs.
Earlier, the IMC Chairman of Oru-West LGA who holds sway as the Pragmatic Imo-State Chairman of ALGON, Adm.Hon.Chief Willie T.C Okolieogwo FCIA, (Ome Ka Odi Nma N'Oru), thanked Barr. Ralph Nwosu, Hon. Commissioner for Works, in standing around, to perform the Commissioning of Nempi Solar Water Scheme, on behalf of His Excellency, the Governor of Imo State - Most Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma.
Chief Willie T.C Okolieogwo said that he lacked words to express the magnitude of his joy and appreciation to Governor Hope Uzodinma for providing the Finance, enabling environment and fatherly encouragement to ensure the completion and Commissioning of Nempi Solar Water Scheme. He directed the Principal officers of the Council Represented by the Directors of Administration and General Services (DAGS) and that of Finance (TR), to own the water Scheme project and ensure its longevity, maintenance and an oversight responsibility going forward.
He prayed God to Bless Governor Hope Uzodinma and Barr. Ralph Nwosu for providing succour and joy to Nempi Communities and Oru-West Local Government Area.
Chief Willie Okolieogwo revealed that, plans are in the pipeline to possibly reticulate waterline to, Ihiteoha-Nempi, Amafor-Nempi, Eleh, and the neighbouring Aji Communities, just as the water reservoir over head tank, has the retaining capacity of about 45,000 litters of quality water.
The Oru-West Council Chairman, Chief Willie Okolieogwo said that the Nempi Water Borehole is powered by Solar Panels, whereas its Water Reservoir is powered by Solar Panels of 10 units of 260 Watts Capacity.
Furthermore, the Imo-State Chairman of ALGON, Chief Willie Okolieogwo intimated the audience that the Commissioned Nempi Solar Water Scheme has more than 8 fetching points for Nempi Autonomous Community, inhabiting within Orie Nempi Market Square and its vicinity, even as he noted that individuals have already connected to their private homes.
On the other hands, the Imc Chairman, Hon. Willie T.C Okolieogwo drew the attention of the Honorable Commissioner-Barr. Ralph Nwosu to the ongoing Public Convenience (Toilet) project for the teaming public at Orie Nempi Market Square by the local government Council under my Administration. The Honorable Commissioner applauded the initiative and encouraged the Imc Chairman to keep doing good for his people in particular and Oru West people in general.
At this point, the Oru-West Council DAGS, Mrs. A. U. Agukwe welcomed all, and prayed God to bless abundantly Governor Hope Uzodinma with good health and long life.
She expressed appreciation to the Commissioner-Barr. Ralph Nwosu for Commissioning the Water Scheme and showered unlimited encomiums on Chief Willie T.C Okolieogwo for his unparralled Leadership qualities, describing Chief Willie Okolieogwo as an astute Administrator, transparent, honest, result Oriented and an amiable leader good to work with any time, any day.
The Treasurer of Oru-West Council, Chief Uche Ucheghara concurred with the submissions of the Oru-West Council DAGS.
The Treasurer applauded Governor Hope Uzodinma for his limitless magnanimity in ensuring that funds flowed consistently until the Nempi Solar Water Scheme was completed and now Commissioned.
The Traditional Ruler of Nempi Autonomous Community, represented by the Prince Inheritance, Prince Marcel Obiekweihe on behalf of his grateful subjects, thanked Governor Hope Uzodinma for the spectacular completion of Nempi Solar Water Scheme and on scheduled. He equally expressed appreciation to Commissioner Barr Ralph Nwosu for Commissioning the Water Scheme.
The President-General of Nempi Town Union, Mr Ben Ekwueme was overwhelmed with the project and Commissioning hence thanked Governor Hope Uzodinma for his limitless goodwill as well as Barr. Ralph Nwosu for being a true brother of Nempi Community.
The IMC Member representing Mgbidi Ward 2, Hon. Paulinus Adikibe showered unlimited encomiums on Governor Hope Uzodinma for benevolence and love for Imolites and the good people of Nempi Community by ensuring that Portable Water is availed to them.
Hon Paulinus Adikibe lauded Chief Willie T.C Okolieogwo for his tireless Love and Leadership role for his Nempi Community and Prayed God to bless abundantly Governor Hope, Barr Ralph Nwosu and Chief Willie T.C Okolieogwo.
The Imc Chairman, Adm. Willie T.C Okolieogwo and the Honorable Commissioner, Barr. Ralph Nwosu and the entire team took a walk down to the nearby project site of the ongoing construction work at the Western Primary School, Nempi, where one out of the 305 Special and modern IMSUBEB Primary Schools is being seriously erected for Nempi/Eleh Ward.
All the IMC Members of Oru-West Council, Some Special Advisers to Oru-West Council Chairman, Nempi Town Union Executives and plethora mammoth Galaxy of jubilating Nempi People attended the Commissioning of Nempi Solar Water Scheme, just as the newly posted Divisional Police officer (DPO), Ibiasoegbe Division- CSP, Iliya Dasat, provided adequate security to the area all through the event.
