2023: TAG Ondo State Grassroots Mobilisation

 


In preparation for the campaigns next month, The Asiwaju Group (TAG) awareness meeting took place on the 21st of August 2022 at the hometown of the State Secretary General of TAG in Emure Ile Owo Local Government at Exactly 4pm with the opening prayer by APC Elder, Mr Ikotodeyi Samuel.

The meeting which had a registered attendance of well over 100 people included the Ward Chairman of APC, Prince Kole Adeyefa, The APC Councilor Hon Ahmed Oladele, and the Ward Secretary Fagbamila Kehinde, party elders and stakeholders.


Dr Dolapo Fatogun introduced TAG and announced officially his position in the group and his responsibility of reaching out to voters to Garner support for our principal. He explained that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu is the best candidate for the lot and that he needs all the support to actualise his mandate. He also spoke on the importance of supporting APC as it is a party that has delivered the dividends of democracy to the community.


Mr Anjorin Samuel, who is a strong follower of TAG in Ose Local Government eulogised the leadership of the TAG Secretary General and canvassed support for Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.


Mr Akeju Olajide who is a businessman in the community said the country presently needs a leader that can give hope to the people and deliver the country, he concluded that Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be supported.


Hon Olijigun, a former councillor in the ward, wanted all-out support for Asiwaju to deal with the insecurity in the country. He reminded everyone of his ordeal at the hands of Fulani kidnappers and he wanted a president that will drastically deal with the issue of insecurity.


Hon Amos Ayodele, a local government delegate in the recent APC primaries wanted support for the APC in the coming election.


Mr Tunde Okiki, the present Park Chairman, wanted more from the secretary general of Tag. He wanted him to continue his good deeds and that TAG should not collapse with other groups as most of these groups could lead one astray.


The present councillor of the ward Hon Ahmed Oladele was happy with the group as it will reduce his workload as the campaign begins fully. He congratulated the General Secretary and pledged his full support when needed.


The vote of thanks was given by the Ward Chairman Prince Kole Adeyefa and the Closing prayer was said by the Ward Councillor.


The Ondo State Coordinator of TAG, Engr Olaniyi ADEGBOLA expressed his appreciation to the organizers and executives especially Hon Dolapo Fatogun for making this possible and finally to all the members of our party at ward and LGA that attended successful outreach. He added that our mandate is assured and victory will be ours come 2023.
